Opportunity for PEI youth ages 9 to 16 who would like to discover and develop new skills through entrepreneurship.
Since 1991 over 1,800 Island youth have participated in the Young Millionaires Program. As of 2019, the program is offered throughout 6 regions across Prince Edward Island to provide our youth with the opportunity to develop skills and expand their minds in a fun and stress-free environment. The program offers all youth ages 9 – 16 the opportunity to learn about business, their community and themselves. Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to $150 ($200 for partnerships) to commence their own business and run it through the summer.

On June 21st stop by Spinnakers’ Landing for National Indigenous Peoples Day! There will be Mi’kmaq drumming and storytelling workshops with Julie Pellissier-Lush and Mi’kmaq artisans showing their work. The event is from 3-4:30pm, grab a bite to eat and learn about local culture at its finest.

From June 24th – 26th Spinnakers’ Landing is hosting the Seaside Seafood Celebration! Stop by and seas the day with some local musical talent, and fresh seafood at the water. Entertainment will be held from 5-7pm, don’t forget to check out the shops and treat yourself at Spinnakers’ Landing where fresh meets everyday.

Andrew Paynter is a well-known musician in the Summerside area. A multi-talented performer, he has performed with groups such as Neon Moon, Neon Country, and is part of the kitchen party band for the Summerside legion, just to name a few.
Cathy Jackman, from the western part of PEI, has been doing shows at Spinnakers’ for the past few years performing with the group Side By Each. Most famous for her song “I’ve Been Everywhere PEI Style”, which has been featured on the Eric McEwen show. She has two CDs to her credit, a solo CD called “Follow Your Dreams” and a duet CD with Jeff Coughlin called “Songs for the Road.”

Ron Holley was born into a multi-talented musical family. However, he only started to perform in recent years; Sandra McLure was born and raised in Summerside PEI and has been singing since she was a teenager. Both have a passion for music and performing. Performing in numerous Island venues, they have built up a fast-growing fan base. ‘Timeless Tunes’ is high-energy entertainment.

BAD Nicholas
BAD Nicholas is the husband and wife Roots Music duo, Bobby and Amber-Dawn Nicholas. Together they have years of experience touring, playing and recording in Nashville Tennessee, and around the world. The couple lived and worked for many years in Nashville before coming home to Canada. They now make their home on Prince Edward Island. Come on down to Spinnakers’ Landing and enjoy their music!

Abi Mari
Sunday, June 26th from 5-7pm
Abi Marie is a 14-year-old performer from Stratford PEI. She started performing at the age of 3 and hasn’t left the stage since. Abi plays ukulele, bass, sings and step dances throughout her performance and is always adding new songs and dances to her live act. She plays a large variety of music- from the Beatles to top 40 songs. Abi has performed on many stages all over PEI including Founders Hall, Spinnakers Landing, Victoria Row, Farm Day in the City, International Shellfish Festival, the Charlottetown Airport, and Island Storm and Charlottetown Islanders sporting events. Abi has also performed in many professional and community theatre productions.
Abi Marie is currently taking dance lessons at Dance Umbrella and Roberts Academy of Dance. She will also be attending Quinte Ballet School of Canada for their summer intensive program for the month of July. Abi’s passion is performing and she hopes you enjoy her set.
